My Review Pink Blush Maternity

So excited to bring you my thoughts on Pink Blush Maternity dress. When Pink Blush agreed to work with me I was kinda fangirl about the whole thing. This is my second pregnancy and maternity clothing was never anything I was thinking about. Then a friend told me about pink blush. I instantly fell in love with their clothing. I am not, what I call stylish. What I wear has to be comfortable, It lets me be able to run after my little one.

This cute Maternity Dress has me feeling cute even though the pregnancy I have not felt that way at all.

I love how Pink Blush has a clearance section. I am all about saving money and when you can get cute fashion even at clearance prices who wouldn’t want to?

I personally wear little flat sneakers with this dress. Ideas I think be cute are booties but I don’t have the coordination for that.

Pregnancy number 2 | 7-8 weeks

I don’t know if I plan on doing all updates in a blog post. I do know I will try to at least update on my youtube. So I am going to break down these weeks, based off how I feel, how the baby is doing and any plans I have going forward.

To start how I am feeling I started off being very sick feeling and drained. I am finally getting to feel less sick now that I am hitting 9 weeks on Friday.

How baby is doing. We had an appointment at 7 weeks got to see the little baby and heartbeat was good and all seems to be well.

I have an appointment next Tuesday another ultrasound and all the added fun pregnancy appointment goodness!

Yard work and Cooking Vlog

Yard work and cooking

So I am hoping to start filming more if you are like me you know that life is always moving never stopping. I finally found my battery charger so I can get filming again. This video was of some yard work I did and man was it calming. I also did lots of cooking to get ready for the week and keep life going and not having to stop to think about food because as much as I love cooking and food prep sometimes life gets in the way and I will forget to make dinner. We are currently on a tight budget due to a lot of issues our home we bought back in November started to pop up. You know how life gets if one thing starts then there will be ten issues to follow.

Toddler School | Basics we do

Toddler School

Around 26 months of age we started to give our son little projects to help him learn. He is now 2 1/2 and we don’t expect him to be reading or anything but we enjoy giving him the opportunity to learn new things. He loves singing his ABC’s and sign language to go along with the alphabet. We use youtube as a source to find new ways of teaching him things like the alphabet and counting.

Coloring and drawing are one of the things we enjoy doing together even if the walls end up covered in crayon markings I enjoy seeing him working his creativity. A wall can be cleaned, creativity needs to be fostered to allow him to grow and love learning.

I have been collecting books since I was pregnant with him. He loves to pick up books and point out the letters that he recognizes. He wasn’t always so vocal and wanting to learn. We got him a speech therapist when he was 2 years old because he wasn’t talking at all and the last 6 months he has just grown so much and loves learning.

Some things we do now to foster his love of learning and play.

LEGO time: When he sits down and plays with his LEGO I can see his face expressions and how he figures out how to get the LEGO to attach. Building the towers really high and then letting them fall is one of his favorite things. If he doesn’t want them to fall he gets frustrated and will work with it until he gets it to stand and then claps with excitement and that puts a smile on both of our faces.

Activity sheets:  Since he is still small I don’t expect him to follow the directions and do them perfectly. We mainly use the sheets to allow him to recognize colors, shapes, letters, numbers and animals. He will grow with them. All the stuff I get is from dollar tree, 5 below and free online print outs or ones I make for him.

Busy Bags: Whoever, invented the busy bag was a genius. Putting fun activities into a bag to take out and play on trips or on a quiet day is a great way to have a fun activity that isn’t all that messy or complex.

Reading: We do lots of reading if it is audio books or me reading out loud to him or him pointing at pictures while I read the book to him we both enjoy reading time.

Youtube videos: He loves youtube channels and there are many children educational videos I can recommend.

(I am not affiliated by these channels these channels are just ones my son enjoys)

Dave and Ava

Mrs. Patty    My sons favorite of hers is Phonics Song

These are just some of the things we do to help him learn. What do you do to help your toddler learn?

Do you clean these as often?

Spring Cleaning Tips…Do you clean these as often?

This was a video I made as a collab with the youtube mommy meet up. back in March 2016. I talked about things around the house that we don’t clean as often as we should. Some of these are used over and over and should be cleaned way more often than we clean them.

March YTMM spring cleaning collab. I am talking about things in the house that should be cleaned more often than they are.
We run these things non stop but if we don’t keep them clean they will break down when we need them the most.
Watch all the other wonderful ladies who did March collab and if you enjoyed this video Comment bellow if you clean these more often.

Homemade dishwasher detergent

Homemade dishwasher detergent

I always enjoy learning new ways to make things around the house easier and to save money. Since we moved our new house dishwasher doesn’t work it was broken when we bought the house. I used this recipe a few times at our old house and never once had an issue with it.

Homemade Dishwasher detergent
1/3 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
3-4 drops of dish soap

Instant pot chicken and rice

Instant Pot Chicken and Rice

So my family got me an Instant Pot for a wedding gift and I love it and so does my husband since I cook every day now since getting it. We currently in the middle of rewiring kitchen stove outlet so we can hook up our stove so this has been a dream. The instant pot is safer than the older pressure cookers because they have safety features added.

To make this dish I turned on the saute button and let it start warming up. While warming up started cutting up the celery, carrots and then tossed it in with some garlic. I let that cook a little while I cut the chicken up. I sliced chicken breasts into thin cuts. Since there is only 4 of us I only cut up 2 chicken breasts.

Finally, I tossed it in with a cup of rice and 2 cups of water. I think next time I will double up on rice there was more chicken than rice. I then put it on manual for 31 mins. It cooked the chicken, celery, and carrots with no issues.

Once it is done I release the steam and let it sit while finishes. Once out the lid will open. I really enjoy using the instant pot for things I normally use the crock pot for. I can see future holiday meals being pretty fast cooking with the instant pot and crock pot.

The end result tasted great and was fast easy and great budget friendly meal. Even had leftovers! Who doesn’t love leftovers?

First time making homemade flour tortillas

First time making homemade flour tortillas

I love learning new things it is one of the things I enjoy.  When I got the crazy idea to make homemade tortillas for our fajitas I knew was in for an adventure. After all those videos and blog posts you see when they are perfect probably was done several times to make a good looking tortilla. Could just be very horrible at making things because mine never looks perfect. Flaws and all they were the best tortillas I have ever eaten. I found the recipe online. I wish I could remember exactly where I found it. They all seemed to be mostly the same when it came to the ingredients the only difference I noticed was the amount used.

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon of salt
1/3 cup of Vegetable shortening
1 cup hot water

mix ingredients well then knead on a  floured surface until no longer sticky.  Place dough into a bowl or any sealed container and sit in fridge 1 hour to overnight. (I recommend overnight) separate into palm size balls and roll out with a rolling pin until big enough. Roll in every direction to form a flat round tortilla. The thinner the better.

Heat a skillet on medium to medium low and cook on both sides until brown.
